COLOURS AND FEELINGS
Through this activity we can collectively and individually reflect on how different characters feel. The children are given cards with different emotions and blank cards in which they can draw. Through the cards they can respond to different characters shown in artworks, or in books, when reading a book collectively. The activity could be extended to associating the feelings to colours and to forms.
The activity can be also extended into a portrait activity in which the children draw each other’s portraits using black ink and then give colours to their portraits according to their feelings.
