LISTENING
During this activity we listened to different water sounds and the children were invited to guess what kind of sound it is. What can you hear? What does the sound remind you of?
This reflection can be done through a card game in which children are given cards showing different water elements and empty cards in which they can draw in. After listening to each sound they are invited to show one or more of the cards or draw or write in another language which sound they thought they listened to. Alternatively, we could draw or paint in relation to the sounds listened to, allowing and guiding the children to draw abstractly or literally in relation to what they hear. This activity could also be done in relation to other sounds.
Alternative: reflecting on and painting the colour of water we listen to (connecting to the activity 'what colours can you see?').
