GIVING OPINIONS: WHAT DO YOU THINK?

How can we encourage the children to reflect on what they think about what they see?
Through this activity the children are encouraged to share their opinions regarding what they see, reflecting on how much they like something from a scale from 1 to 5. The activity allows for a multiplicity of opinions to be presented and seen. If possible, a discussion can be help around the reason they rated certain artworks/images/objects they way did. Sharing can happen collectively in the class or within small groups, creating the possibility for children to share in their languages in groups with children that they speak a common language with.

The activity can be conducted in relation to different elements in a book, or in relation to objects, artworks and visuals. Rating can also be applied to other questions apart from taste.
